Online repository for ontologies - share, search and reuse ontologies for Semantic Web applications

Goal:

The goal of the project is to design and develop a repository for ontologies. The idea involves a central, categorized storage for ontologies. People are uploading ontologies thay use to develop Semantic Web applications to enable reuse of ontologies.

Main task:

Develop web application which allows to:

store and categorize uploaded ontologies
provide extended search functionalities to enable users to find and reuse ontologies in their Semantic Web applications

Additional tasks:

Build the application based on SOA paradigm
- Define and describe REST SOA
- Implement services to enable use of the functionality by other applications
Lightweight integration with MarcOnt Portal
- Design integration process with existing MarcOnt services
- Enable users to collaboratively develop choosen ontologies using MarcOnt Portal
