eLearning Cluster GUI Meeting Minutes

Date of Meeting 26/03/2007

Present: Wladek Bultrowicz, Tony Hall, Sebastian Ryszard Kruk, Mark Leyden, Bill McDaniel

I. Purpose

The goal of the meeting was to present the outcome of last meeting to Tony Hall and Francis Leonard (unfortunately he didn't manage to attend), discuss it with them and determine the nearest future of GUI research and development within the eLearning cluster.

II. Discussion

Discussion was similar to the previous one. However couple new threads occurred

• Flash/ActionScript skills of Francis

• Scheduling and division of the development process

• Polygonal (instead of hexagonal - more generic) API

• Presentation of Atom UI, TagsTreeMaps and MultiBeeBrowser

• Migration of the logic from JavaScript to Flash

• HoneyComb as a API (library of objects)

III. Action Items

• Prepare (Wladek) a draft of generic based-on-polygons-UI model (API).

• Start development of library of objects using JavaScript (Flash/Flex ready)

• Arrange next meeting after April 16th.

IV. Open Items

• Exact division of roles in the GUI development process.
