LOstRepository

LOstRepository (Learning Object Repository) is designed to store Learning Objects. Application offers functionality to upload well organized (according to SCORM standard) Learning Objects, browse through them, and what is most important: acquire them – thanks to Web Services technology.

LOstRepository Architecture

LOstRepository is designed in Microsoft ASP .Net technology. Storing learning objects will be done by using relational database – MSSQL.

  • GUI Component – responsible for presentation layer
  • Services Component - responsible for web services providing


LOstRepository - Use Cases

  • Actors:
    • User – anybody, who can use internet browser,
    • Didaskon – framework, which will be responsible for course composition
  • User’s use cases:
    • Login – user will have to login to LOstRepository system to upload new Learning Objects,
    • Upload Learning Object – adding Learning Objects to Database,
    • Browse repository – browsing Learning Objects, which are stored in database.
  • Didaskon’s use cases:
    • Get list of Learning Objects – getting list of Learning Objects, which are stored in database,
    • Get Manifest of Learning Object – getting manifest of learning object with specified identifier,
    • Get Learning Object – getting learning object with specified identifier.
